Looks like somebody will be staying late. ;)
Seriously the best way to do a one-off like this is to have somebody stay and make the change.
Otherwise you should be able to setup your web server to handle a timed redirect.
Or you can trigger a script at the top of the page that redirects based on time.
I wouldn't really recomend either but it is possible.

Hi guys and tks for your comments and suggestions.
I dont mind buying another Office 2011 for the other Mac so no drama's there.
I have just checked with our UK service provider and they have just now enabled IMAP on our account :)
So all should be good now.. I will install Outlook 2011 on both mac and setup as IMAP...

Since I read many posts on problems with the invidiual updates through OS's software update featrue, I would like to post this question. If you update the OS X (10.3.X) through one update increment (like, from 10.3.7 to 10.3.8) and then do a combo update by visiting Apple's website, does the combo update over-write the previous updates which were done one update at a time?Updates replace changed files. Softare Update merely automates what you would do when you manually download updates. IMHO, the reports that you heard about updates originate between the keyboard and chair.

I have also put down -verbosity 9, is that correct for a3 bonus wu's. I have not received any bonus points yet?
So all up I have (-smp 8 -verbosity 9).
That looks good. I don't know how a3's work as far as when you start to get bonus points but with bigadv units you have to have 10 units finished with the passkey before you get any bonus points.

Hey guys ! :)
I hope you can help a newbie like me with these questions.. I plan on buying an Imac which will be used for music production with Logic Studio.
The Imac will be connected to a Midi-keyboard and thats it.
Is the 21.5-inch: 2.5GHz base model powerful enough for this? Can it run Logic Studio smoothly without any problems?
I don't really want to upgrade the 21.5 to i7 as it will cost me 700 bucks more, so will it really be worth it to upgrade to i7 ?
Looking forward to your answers.
Thanks

I can not edit song info using my iTunes. When I do File->Get Info and then go to the info Tab all the fields appear to be read-only. I can not edit. Can anybody tell me how to do it?
Thanks Is that just one song? It might have something wrong with it. If it is all of them - try repairing permissions?

Hi folks, I'm new here, and a novice, so please be gentle :)
I've forgotten the password for my email account and wondered if there is a way to find it or reset it. It's the Tiger version, given to me by someone who got the latest one, all bells and whistles, I believe. I'm a beginner with Mac, and have already slipped up, so look out for more from me. ;)

I used DiskTracker (http://download.cnet.com/DiskTracker/3000-2130_4-5156.html?tag=mncol;1) a lot years ago and liked it but to be honest, those where back in the OS 8/9 days. It's still around now and regularly updated.
DiskCatalogMaker (http://download.cnet.com/DiskCatalogMaker/3000-2248_4-996.html?tag=mncol;4) has also been around for a long time and seems to have a good following along with regular updates.

Would I be able to use my iMac as a monitor for a 1st/2nd generation Nintendo/Sega console? (i.e. NES/SNES/Master System/Mega Drive)
I had a quick google search but couldn't find any information on the subject. I've seen lots of questions about Xbox 360's but nothing about older consoles. Wondered if anyone had any experience in this or could point me in the right direction?

That's strange, the console version should be a bit faster then the gui version. Especially on older/slower machines. All of the cpu power goes to crunching the WU, there isn't a bit that helps the graphics card making the picture, so the console version should be faster.
I see where you're coming from but the gui client only has a gui if you tell it to display the protein. it defaults to not showing so there is nothing to use system resources.
I have folded 8 large units on my G4 500 and all of them got 10% or so in the time it took the terminal client to get about 1-2%. using the gui client I had it set to accept the proteins above 5mb. it always took about 8-10 days to do 1 wu and I would get about 250+ points for each so they were large.

Fishing Joy is an infinitely playable and incredibly addictive game. You are the fisherman, you have your fishing nets, and your goal is to catch the most magnificent fish in the sea and get the rewards from catching the fish. The game includes strict attention to detail as well as a stunning magnitude and array of fish. The strength of this game lies in its attention to detail, length of play, visual display, and sound. You really feel like you are deep into the oceans floor, equipped with your trusty netting, trying to snag as many colorful swimmers as possible, while collecting the rewards that the mass assortment of prized fish can offer.
The game also contains special features. For example, the player can accumulate coins and be granted authority to use a special laser, which has the ability to eliminate anything and everything in its path. Do you think it is particularly difficult to trap the sharks? Just eliminate them altogether with one shot of the powerful beam. Another cool feature is that there are 7 sizes of fish netting. This will allow you greater capability to hunt for the biggest fish in the sea and collect the greatest amount of prized possessions. Last but certainly not least, the game is incredibly entertaining. Enjoy the simple single-tap gameplay dynamics, awesome graphics, creative music and crowd-pleasing features that Fishing Joy has to offer, so pass the time with Fishing Joy!
FEATURES:
- RETINA DISPLAY SUPPORT
- 11 DIFFERENT COLORFUL FISH
- 7 LEVELS OF FISH NETTING TO UPGRADE
- A SPECIAL FISHING WEAPON
- AQUARIUM MODE WITH VIVID SCENE

Ah, didnt notice your reply.
Its a tray loader out of an iBook G3. :/ So it wont work unfortunately.
I'm willing to do 75 shipped, and throw in a 30GB hard disk, or 90 shipped and I'll throw instead of the 30GB a 40GB 5400RPM Seagate Momentus drive.
Would make an awesome upgrade for any iBook G3 computer.
$75 shipped for a 512 sodimm, combo drive, airport card and a 30gig HD? If so, I'll take that. PM me with your mailing address.

Yes. Thanks. Makes total sense when you put it that way. Am trying to justify buying one. But as a monitor ...no.
Thanks.

I used to just rip my movies using "ripit", then grab the video ts file and use toast titanium 10 to convert it to my ipad. Then in toast titanium i would be able to adjust the size, and video quality.
Now when i use ripit and to rip a dvd, it just shows the dvd player icon and I can't access the video ts and audio ts files. I think it was because I updated.
Anyways, what do u guys do to convert your dvd collection for the ipad? I have handbrake, and tried it once, but I don't see the option to adjust the video size/resolution. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

"Why does everyone thinks it is cool to have a server?"
Well maybe, they want to use and consume their media in a lot of devices without having to store it on that device.
We don't need a mac pro to have a media server am i right. Since I think the OP has an old G5 lying around would not it the most logical think to do?

Although it has happened before, you can't really return something you bought from Apple online to an Apple retail store. The retail stores and online store are not connected. This is especially true since it's open and you don't have the packaging, because it would have to be sent somewhere to be repackaged. It messes up their inventory systems since it wasn't their product to begin with. It's kind of like buying an Apple product at CompUSA and trying to return it to an Apple retail store. I say it's happened before because I've seen really angry people at an Apple store be able to get a store credit, but usually only if they Apple store can resell it without difficulty (in original packaging and in perfect condition).
As far as sending it back opened to the online store, they will try to charge you a restocking fee. If you call and make a big fuss, especially since it's because because of a problem they had, they might take remove the restocking fee. But you will have to pay for shipping. The best thing for you to do it call Customer Service and explain nicely your issue and see what they say. Since it's only been 4 days, they should definitely take it back, even if they do charge the restocking fee (back when I worked at an Apple retail store, it was 10% so I assume it's still that).
