Go with BF.
The request was for something with reasonable single player. So that leaves BF out. UT2004 does have reasonable single player though, so go with that.

That looks awesome.
I'd love to see a tutorial. I am getting a pro mouse with my new iMac, which I'm not planning on using (the mouse not the computer ;)), and I'd love to mod it like that. :)

HI,
I can't seem to get my mac running on a cat 5 cable! any help?
Post a little more info please.
Kind of mac and what are you trying to do?
DSL/Cable modem directly to Mac?
DSL/Cable modem to router?
Double check inside the ports of mac and cable box that none of the wires are bent.
Not enough info to help:-)

The main class for distributed objects is NSProxy and its concrete subclass NSDistantObject. These are in the Foundation framework. Mac OS X and iOS use the same Foundation framework. There does not appear to be any deprecation note on either of these classes.

^ It would be nice to use the iPhone as a phone, but I already have a Blackberry and pay $35 a month for a killer Sprint plan, so I doubt I would switch.
Some of the apps I have downloaded to the iPhone are...
-Gobo - Set definitions/references
-LVRUSA - Instructions for quites a few popular cameras
-Clinometer - Level app used for syncing shots
-Aja Datacalc - App used for calculating disk space
-Keyframe - Keeps track/notes on shots
-Kodak Cinema Tools - Depth of field calculator for film cameras
-myGobo - Lighting/grip app
I'm currently looking at the MatchLens ($9.99), Toland ASC Digital Assistant ($39.99) & Panascout/Panascout Lite ($9.99 or free).

That easy huh? Thanks! I can always drag it back to my MacBook HD right if I have a customer who wants a specific photo? Thanks!
Of course. It is exactly the same like it is in your internal. And no need to drag all 58GB, just drag the file(s) you or the customer want. Or you can drag them straight to a USB stick.

Great tip, but this tag has been around for a long long while. Not really anything new for experienced HTMLers...

Absolutely...I run 10.4.2 on my old Sawtooth 400 Mhz G4 which I use as a web server, while I do my graphic production work on my Dual G5. It definitely helps if you have your RAM slots maxed out. I have 1GB in mine and the beachball still spins sometimes. OSX 10.4.2. is a bit of a RAM hog.

Hello all,
I'm a new Mac user (just switched) and was wondering if there is anything equivalent to having shortcuts to my fonts. On my PC I had a big fonts folder with everything neatly organized into subfolders based on foundry, etc. When I had to install a font, I simply pointed the shortcut to the font. Nothing was actually copied to the windows font folder. Can I do this with Mac OS X? If so, please tell me how. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Apple's main mini page still says "Introducing the new Mac mini." 8 months after the current model's release. I'd guess they won't be doing anything new for a while.

I have always found it works better to use the space bar than the trackpad, but that's just my experience.

Try manually mounting your time machine backup. It is stored on your backup disk as a *.sparsebundle file. Execute the following command to access it :
sudo hdiutil attach <time_machine_file.sparsebundle>
sudo hdiutil attach <time_machine_file.sparsebundle>

Unfortunately, that will only pump songs to my iDevice within my LAN.
So... this is not a good solution because I want to be able to access my entire itunes library on the go. I hope the rumors are true and iTunes is gonna flippin use its data center for once and supply people their music on the go with just a 3G connection
Well you can try something like setting up a NAS server at home and connecting to it, or using AMAZON's cloud player or using something like sugarsync to upload to the cloud and play from there :)

I have a relative in a hospital, He is going to be a long time recovering so he brought in a notebook computer and can (almost) access the hospital WiFi. He can't reposition their access point, can't get a wired connection. He does get WiFi but it drops out frequently because the signal is weak. Apparently their system is designed to only cover common areas and hallways and he is about 40 feet away from a reliable signal.
So I'm thinking of a hardware fix. Perhaps a WiFi to Ethernet bridge that can use an external antenna and then we aim the antenna at the access point? I think we need to improve reception to make it reliable
What to get?
