Hi guys,
The ACD 27" has 3 cables. a USB cable, displayport and also a magsafe.
So this might be a stupid questionnnn...
but once the ACD is plugged into the MacPro.. does the magsafe just hang there for no reason?
I know theyre primarily designed for the MacBook Pros.. but people who have iMacs and MacPros are left with an ugly hanging cable?
Must look pretty ugly.. its not like Apple at all..
from apple.com:
MagSafe connector.
The LED Cinema Display includes a MagSafe connector that powers and charges your MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air. The connector sits on your desk, ready and waiting. No need to unwind the cord to the power adapter that came with your notebook. Leave it exactly where it is, in your bag.
There's nothing to charge in the MacPro server.

A universal volume? Are you kidding?
Every time I change the station or a new show comes on, the volume always needs to be adjusted. Nothing is ever the same.
As for commercials, they used to always have a higher volume than the tv show for advertising purposes. However, I think congress recently made that alteration illegal.
I never do when changing channels, they're never substantially different, but yeah, ads are bitch.

Yes, FakeCarrier should work fine.
MakeItMine might also work, although, unfortunately, I didn't have any luck with this one.

Hey everyone, I have made a pure CSS drop down menu for school. I wrote everything by hand. My website works great in Safari, Firefox, and Google Chrome but when a bring it to school to be marked, the drop down menu does not work with Internet Explorer. This is because IE does not support the hover tags. Is there any script or alternative things that I can put in the CSS or HTML document to make it work the same in IE as Safari or Firefox?
So I need a script that will make the hover tag work in IE, or any alternative tags I can use so that browser like IE will read my CSS menu right.
Here is the CSS file:
#wrapper {
width:940px;

I went to the original iPhone launch and iPhone 4 launch here. Still contemplating whether I want to do it again or order for home delivery.
Who else plans on lining up to get their Verizon iPhone? I'm kind of wanting to go just to see how the lines compare to the AT&T launch.

Hi All
This is my first post in the MacBook section as I'm more of an iPhone/iPad user, but I need your wisdom to help :)
I've got the 2009 White MacBook 2.13ghz and have just upgraded the hard drive from the stock which I believe is 120gb to a 320gb WD Blue Scorpion, I have formatted the drive the OSX extended journaled and selected my external hard drive as the place I want to restore my computer from using my latest time machine backups.
However last night when I attempted this I fell asleep during the process and woke up just before it finished. After it was done I had the message that I have seen described as the kournel panic message, the multi language message that says I need to reboot my computer using the power button, and even after doing this the message just keeps reappearing.
Can anyone advise me on what to do here, I am currently in the process of trying the entire restore again, and am around 15 minutes Away from completion so I will keep you posted. I am using the restore disks that came with the computer and not the snow leopard disks as I cannot find it, would this be the cause of my issues?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Kris

That was an April fools joke, if you didn't already know.
Where is it still the 1st April at this time of the day?

Intel SSDs seem to get much better reliability scores/feedback than the OWC, I wasn't sure which to go for in my Mini, but in the end I went Intel for this reason.
I'm sure either are fine, but the experts reckon on Intel.

Hey everybody, I'm in the market for a Mac Pro. I do allot of 3D animation rendering so it's incredibly processor intensive but I have only $2,300 to spend on it. Which means, I have to do allot of research as to which one is the fastest at that speed and I could always upgrade my ram and video cards at a different time. I want the bulk of the money to go towards the fastest Mac Pro I can afford that works great for intense rendering. Some of my 3D animations are over 3000 frames. Anyway, I've seen the cinebench test and it looks like the 4-core 2.8GHZ 2010 model is the slowest of them all. I was wondering, would you recoemmend that I get one off of Ebay? I have my eye on the 3.2GHZ 2008 machine and, if affordable, the 2.26 2009 machine which seems to be really fast. What is your opinion? I also compose music so I run allot of plugins, virtual instruments and sometimes over a hundred audio tracks at once. In other words, I push that processor to the limit!!! LOL

yeah i think they took my old server down
i found my files on the wayback machine on the internet archive, and i still have an account on another (faster) server at my university
my problem is i have no idea how to do anything web-related, so i guess i'll have to make another page because my old files are gone now

Madonna new music video for "Celebration" is currently being offered for free on iTunes, download it for free while you still can. Anyone think it's worth paying for? I wasn't all that impressed, didn't mind it though. I like Madonna, even in spite of her transition towards dance/club music. What do you think?
Download Celebration (http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewVideo?id=328936586&s=143441)
Only works if your in the US!!
